St. Augustine Catholic Church began a mission of serving those in need when the parish first opened in 1887. The current St. Augustine Community Food Pantry is located at 129 6th Street in Brighton. We are an all-volunteer community food pantry. Through the support of the St. Augustine parish, its generous volunteers, donors, and local business partners, and with the Food Bank of the Rockies we strive to provide staples and fresh food to those in need.
As a community of Followers of Jesus Christ, the St. Augustine Community Food Pantry and Volunteer Staff are dedicated to announcing the gospel by helping those in need of assistance. This includes reducing food insecurity for those in the greater Brighton community and surrounding areas of Adams County. The pantry operates in a non-discriminatory manner and in an environment of safety, dignity, respect and compassion.
To receive food, you MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED, which includes you selecting a SCHEDULED TIME to come to the Pantry.
Food distribution is 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 12pm-5pm
Please note- Food Distribution will NOT take place in the ally behind the pantry. ALL CLIENTS MUST PARK IN THE CHURCH PARKING LOT. We will be closed on Holidays.
ways to help
According to the Food Bank of the Rockies, “1 in 10 Coloradans worry where their next meal will come from. These are people you meet every day – those with low wage jobs, children, seniors on fixed income, those with health issues. Surprisingly, the homeless represent only 10% or our food recipients. Nearly half of the food we distribute feeds children.” The St. Augustine Community Food Pantry is a partner with the Food Bank of the Rockies, serving the Brighton community and Adams County.
If you are thinking of a community service project, please consider a food drive for your local food pantry. St. Augustine Community Food Pantry serves an average of 446 households per month (1862 individuals). Your assistance will make a difference.
The 100% volunteer staff is happy to assist you in planning a food drive with planning, promotional items, and pickup of collected items. Please contact us at PantryOfficeManager@staugustinebrighton.org or call at 303-654-1040 (message service, call will be return asap for information).
